One of the great pleasures of playing golf is the time it affords in the outdoors. Golf courses can be a wonderful place to observe nature. Many clubs today have joined with Audubon society to create wildlife and bird sanctuaries adding to the esthetic pleasure of a round of golf. This scene is one that I have observed many times, watching the Blue Heron fish the pond just below a par three on my home course.
