This painting, shown in period dress, depicts a scene that I witnessed while playing golf in Ireland. Jeff Witherwax of Waterbury, Connecticut hit his approach shot on the beach. He promptly selected a sand wedge and knocked it on the green and made par. Jeff and myself along with two other friends, went on to win the tournament in a sudden death play-off.
